How do I charge the Tap & Chip card reader

Charge the Tap & Chip Reader using the provided USB cable or the dock for convenience. It takes 1-2 hours to fully charge offering a week of battery life. Check battery level with the power button’s status lights.

How do I connect the card reader to the Shopify POS app

To use the card reader with Shopify POS pair it with your device through the app. Once paired the reader will automatically connect when both are on and in range. Ensure the reader is charged before pairing.

What happens if my card reader or dock is not working

If the issues persist report to Shopify Support via > Support > Report a bug in Shopify POS app. Support will contact you after submission to troubleshoot the device. Shopify may cover defects found when using the product as suggested.

Does this work with Square

No Shopify’s POS hardware is designed specifically for use with Shopify POS. It is not compatible with Square’s point of sale system. To ensure seamless integration it’s best to use Shopify’s hardware and software together.
